Scottish Dancing Workshops

Learn how to Scottish dance with one of our Highland and Ceilidh dancing workshops.

Learn how to Scottish dance with one of our fun and interactive Scottish dancing workshops.

Guests learn some steps from the highland fling, and also a few ceilidh dances whilst having fun, and working off a few calories.

Works well as a group activity for anywhere from 6 to 60 people.

The workshops can be as short as 20 minutes, as a breakout activity at a conference, or we can put them on for an hour after dinner, to bring a group together whilst learning a new Scottish skill and meeting some local musicians and dancers.

The Scottish dancing experience is usually given by a highland dancer, who demonstrates, talks through and then teaches the steps, along with either an accordion player or a bagpipe player, who provides the live music for this activity.

Some of our accordion players speak Gaelic and can teach guests how to count to ten, and some other elementary phrases in our early Celtic language as part of the experience.

We put these workshops on as part of our Highland Games experiences, they have been so popular, that we now offer them as stand-alone activities for corporate clients, conference organisers, incentive houses, and coach parties. We also do this for private groups, and discerning individuals!

If you would like to learn some other new Scottish skills, then we also provide a Bagpipe Masterclass and a whisky tasting, which can be run at the same time, if you have a larger group, and guests can experience all three activities.

For more information and availability on our dance lessons and workshops, then drop us a Contact Form or email. We look forward to teaching you some new Scottish skills.
